History
The Balancing Company was established in 1968 by Donald K. Belcher, a mechanical engineer, with one balancing machine and twenty five square feet of rented shop space. As the business grew, employees and balancing machines were added, and the company’s physical location changed several times to successively larger facilities, all in the Dayton, Ohio area. In 1978, due to the increasing rotational speed of machinery components and the need to verify their structural integrity, the first spin test chamber was added. In 1979 the company moved to its present location; a 54,000 square foot building custom designed for Mr. Belcher in Vandalia, Ohio.
Today the company operates with 27 employees, 8 spin test chambers, 32 balancing machines, and an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system.
